J. Brad Jewell, Chief Financial Officer

J. Brad Jewell, CPA, MPA is the Chief Financial Officer for the Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation and Pennington Discoveries, Inc. In this role, Brad provides leadership and oversight for all accounting, finance, and investment activities of the Foundation.

Prior to his arrival in 2000, Brad was employed as an audit senior with the CPA firm of Hawthorn, Waymouth, & Carroll, LLP. Brad was licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Louisiana in 1999. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants. During his tenure with the Foundation, Brad has made significant contributions to various projects and initiatives concerning the nonprofit sector, including support provided to the Louisiana Board of Regents, the Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations, and the Financial Accounting Standards Board. Brad holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in Public Administration, both from Louisiana State University.
